The Heart of Yoga – Broken, Open and Melting

A retreat with Ty Landrum

19 December 2022 to 26 December 2022, 26 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, 2 January 2023 to 9 January 2023

Ty Landrum Tenerife Retreat

This warming winter Christmas and New Years retreat is all about renewing our relationship to yoga, not as a performative ritual, but as a mode of contemplating the inner movements of our lives, and holding the many characters of our stories (protagonists, antagonists, supporting actors) with softness, compassion and understanding.  Through a balance of practice and reflection, we return to the loving support of our breath, and we allow it to warm us from the inside.

This retreat is open for all levels of practitioners – from beginners to advanced.

Retreat schedule

Each week consists of 6 morning Mysore classes and 4 afternoon workshops.

Our mornings begin with guided pranayama and chanting, followed by Mysore-style asana practice (assisted and self-directed), then a series of workshops designed to illumine our theme. Observing the subtle reflexes of the heart, we explore the internal techniques that bring the yoga practice alive—tracing currents of breath, balancing subtle patterns of sensation, and connecting to the natural warmth and spaciousness of the balanced mind.
