Workshops:
Sunday Workshop: Roots & Support: Earth as Stability and Safety
Explore the subtle mechanisms that make Ashtanga yoga a complete spiritual practice beyond just physical exercise. We'll examine how the precise sequencing, breathing patterns, and focal points systematically purify the nervous system and prepare the mind for deeper states of awareness. This workshop connects traditional yogic concepts with modern understanding of neuroscience and energy systems, offering experienced practitioners a deeper context for their daily practice. Deepen this inquiry through elemental philosophy and somatic embodiment. We explore how the body organizes itself around safety, how tension forms when support is missing, and how true grounding creates freedom rather than rigidity.
Monday Workshop: Opening the Gateway: Hip Opening & Release for Transformation
The hips are not only physically central to many challenging Ashtanga postures but also energetically linked to our emotional patterns, creative expression, and ability to move forward in life with confidence. This workshop explores the profound connection between our anatomical hips and what we’re carrying in our energetic body. We will explore emotional intelligence through the lens of elemental philosophy. Somatic practices support the body’s natural ability to feel, adapt, and release without becoming overwhelmed.

Wednesday Workshop: Group Breathwork & Spinal Energetics: Awakening Higher Awareness
Experience an advanced breathwork session designed specifically to activate the higher energy centers along the spine. This workshop utilizes active breathing patterns, sound, and energy activation to stimulate expanded states of consciousness. This guided healing session will help you release what’s been holding you back and help you clear the path to step into what’s truly possible for your life and spiritual practice.
Thursday Workshop: Exploring the Wisdom of Asana as the Energetic Foundations for Manifestation
Experience how the precise sequencing of the Primary Series creates a powerful foundation for manifestation through systematic energy cultivation and purification. Special attention will be focused on how to use grounding poses to stabilize your energy, heart-opening postures to align you with your authentic desires, and inversions to help shift your perspective and cultivate new possibilities.

About the Teacher
With over 25 years of dedicated Ashtanga practice, Harmony Slater brings a rich lineage and lived wisdom to her teaching. Authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2005 and Certified in the Advanced Series by R. Sharath Jois in 2015, her path has evolved beyond traditional paradigms—unlearning what was once fundamental to reveal what is truly essential.
In recent years, her work has expanded to integrate Buddhist meditation, Spinal Energetics, spiritual coaching, and Eastern mysticism into the rooted foundations of asana and pranayama. What she offers defies rigid systems, inviting students into yoga as both an art of living and a science of direct experience.
Harmony’s teaching is grounded in the realization: “That which you are looking for is the one who is looking.” Her work guides students to rediscover their innate creativity, wholeness, and intuition—awakening personal power through presence.
Her approach is informed by years of immersive study in Asia, deep inquiry into Eastern philosophy and Sanskrit, the founding of her own yoga school, and the integration of spiritual life with motherhood. Through retreats and mentorship, she supports awakening across seven levels of awareness—mental, emotional, somatic, unconscious, energetic, ancestral and behavioral—transforming practice into a profound path of healing and self-realization.
Practical Information About The Retreat Centre
Our retreat centre, Finca Naranjas (previously known as Cristoforo), is a simple yet deeply beautiful sanctuary nestled in the heart of South Tenerife. It was lovingly designed by architect Denis Devaris, who envisioned it as a meeting place for spiritual seekers. Built slowly over the course of 30 years using volcanic rock from the island, each room carries its own unique charm, full of character, thoughtful details, and personal touches.
Our meals are prepared with love by our wonderful retreat chefs, offering fresh, wholesome dishes that are entirely vegetarian and mostly vegan. Wherever possible, we use local and organic ingredients to support both your wellbeing and the surrounding environment. Occasionally, eggs or dairy may be included in some meals.
If you have any food allergies or sensitivities, please let us know in advance. Gluten-free options are available.
We also have a self-service tea and coffee station available throughout the day, and we do our best to provide fresh fruit for light snacking between meals. You’re welcome to enjoy your meals either indoors or outside in the peaceful beauty of our garden.
Our retreat offers an intimate practice setting, with a maximum of 25 students and morning classes limited to 16 participants for a more personal experience.
Sessions are held in our beautiful wooden garden Shala. During full retreats, Savasana is often enjoyed outdoors to create space in the Shala, and some afternoon workshops may also take place outside.
Please pack warm layers for practice, especially for Savasana, as mornings and evenings can be chilly.
Rooms will be ready from 3:00pm on arrival day. The retreat begins with a welcome meeting at 6:00pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. We kindly ask all students to arrive in time for the introduction.
Our first practice session takes place on Sunday morning, and the final practice is on Friday morning. Check-out is on Saturday at 9:00am.
