Workshops:
Sunday Workshop: Sovereignty & Transformation: Fire as Will and Vitality
Explore the relationship between consciousness and creation according to yogic philosophy. Learn how your thoughts and beliefs literally shape your reality and influence your energetic field. We will explore transformation at both physiological and energetic levels. Healthy fire energy supports sovereignty, confidence, and purpose — while excess fire energy leads to burnout or struggle. We will focus on practices that allow vitality to circulate without depletion and supporting sustainable effort in both practice and life.
Monday Workshop: Expansion & Spaciousness: The Art of Pain-Free Backbending
Discover the subtle balance between strength and surrender in backbending postures. This workshop explores the energetic connection between heart opening and emotional vulnerability, while providing practical techniques to build the necessary foundation in your legs and core. Learn specific alignment principles, breath techniques, and energetic activations that transform challenging backbends into gateways for both physical and emotional liberation. We’ll touch upon philosophical and somatic dimensions of breath, perception, and connection. Air governs thought patterns, communication, and relational awareness
Wednesday Workshop: Group Breathwork & Spinal Energetics: Clearing Obstacles
Experience a powerful combination of active breathing with Spinal Energetics with the intention of identifying and releasing energetic blocks in your system. This workshop will guide you through progressive breathing techniques that stimulate the movement of prana in the body. You'll release unconscious tension patterns that may be causing restriction in your body as wel as in what you see possible in your life. You’ll have the possibility of experiencing the release of these energetic blocks at their source within the nervous system.
Thursday Workshop: Integrate & Listen: Discover your True Nature as Awakened Awareness
This closing workshop weaves together all elements, pointing toward Nature as our true state — awake, intelligent awareness expressing through form. Through subtle breathwork, somatic stillness, and contemplative philosophy, we explore how consciousness lives within the body and how integration happens when we stop striving and start listening. The session supports deep assimilation of the week’s work, leaving students with a felt sense of coherence, clarity, and embodied knowing.

About the Teacher
With over 25 years of dedicated Ashtanga practice, Harmony Slater brings a rich lineage and lived wisdom to her teaching. Authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2005 and Certified in the Advanced Series by R. Sharath Jois in 2015, her path has evolved beyond traditional paradigms—unlearning what was once fundamental to reveal what is truly essential.
In recent years, her work has expanded to integrate Buddhist meditation, Spinal Energetics, spiritual coaching, and Eastern mysticism into the rooted foundations of asana and pranayama. What she offers defies rigid systems, inviting students into yoga as both an art of living and a science of direct experience.
Harmony’s teaching is grounded in the realisation: “That which you are looking for is the one who is looking.” Her work guides students to rediscover their innate creativity, wholeness, and intuition—awakening personal power through presence.
Her approach is informed by years of immersive study in Asia, deep inquiry into Eastern philosophy and Sanskrit, the founding of her own yoga school, and the integration of spiritual life with motherhood. Through retreats and mentorship, she supports awakening across seven levels of awareness—mental, emotional, somatic, unconscious, energetic, ancestral and behavioural—transforming practice into a profound path of healing and self-realisation.
Practical Information About The Retreat Centre
Our retreat centre, Finca Naranjas (previously known as Cristoforo), is a simple yet deeply beautiful sanctuary nestled in the heart of South Tenerife. It was lovingly designed by architect Denis Devaris, who envisioned it as a meeting place for spiritual seekers. Built slowly over the course of 30 years using volcanic rock from the island, each room carries its own unique charm, full of character, thoughtful details, and personal touches.
Our meals are prepared with love by our wonderful retreat chefs, offering fresh, wholesome dishes that are entirely vegetarian and mostly vegan. Wherever possible, we use local and organic ingredients to support both your wellbeing and the surrounding environment. Occasionally, eggs or dairy may be included in some meals.
If you have any food allergies or sensitivities, please let us know in advance. Gluten-free options are available.
We also have a self-service tea and coffee station available throughout the day, and we do our best to provide fresh fruit for light snacking between meals. You’re welcome to enjoy your meals either indoors or outside in the peaceful beauty of our garden.
Our retreat offers an intimate practice setting, with a maximum of 25 students and morning classes limited to 16 participants for a more personal experience.
Sessions are held in our beautiful wooden garden Shala. During full retreats, Savasana is often enjoyed outdoors to create space in the Shala, and some afternoon workshops may also take place outside.
Please pack warm layers for practice, especially for Savasana, as mornings and evenings can be chilly.
Rooms will be ready from 3:00pm on arrival day. The retreat begins with a welcome meeting at 6:00pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. We kindly ask all students to arrive in time for the introduction.
Our first practice session takes place on Sunday morning, and the final practice is on Friday morning. Check-out is on Saturday at 9:00am.
